Do I need the app to open an invitation?

No. Every invitation has a link that opens in any browser, with the full card and a reply button. The app is for people who receive invitations often and want them all in one place.

What does it cost?

Receiving invitations is free and always will be. Sending them is free too. We charge only professional hosts who run occasions for a living.

How do I stop someone inviting me?

Under You, open Privacy and choose who is allowed to send invitations into your list. You can also block an individual host.

A host changed the time. Will I know?

Yes. The card updates and shows you what changed — the old time struck through, the new one beside it — so you are never guessing which version is right.

I was invited to some functions but not all of them.

That is normal for a wedding. You will see the functions you are invited to, each with its own timing and venue. Guests are not shown what they were not invited to.

Can other guests see me on the list?

No. Guests do not see each other. The host sees who they invited and how many seats each guest confirmed.

Which phones does it work on?

Android first, since that is what most of India uses. iPhone follows.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Nyota account and everything in it, in two ways.

In the app

Open Nyota, go to You, and choose Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm, and it happens straight away.

Without the app

Write to support@joinnyota.com from the number you signed up with, or include that number in the message. We confirm it is you, and delete the account within [7] days.

What gets deleted

Your phone number, name and photo
Your replies and confirmed seats
Your contact groups
Invitations you have received

Occasions you were hosting

[EDIT once decided.] Guests still need invitations you sent them, so those are not simply erased. Either the occasion passes to a co-host, or it is cancelled and every guest is told. State plainly here which one happens.

Google Play requires this section to be reachable on the web without installing the app. Do not remove it or change its address.
