NYOTA

Legal

Terms & conditions

Last updated [date]

This is a working draft written in plain language. Have a lawyer review it before you launch, particularly the liability and governing-law sections.

These terms apply to the Nyota app and to joinnyota.com, both operated by [Registered entity name] (“we”). By using either, you agree to them.

Who can use Nyota

You need to be 13 or older, and you need a working mobile number. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

Your account

Your mobile number identifies you. Keep access to it secure. If you lose the number, write to us so we can help you move the account.

Invitations you send

When you host an occasion, you decide who to invite. You must have a genuine reason to hold the phone numbers you use, and you must not use Nyota to send marketing, solicitations or anything unwanted. Repeated complaints will end your ability to send.

Content

You keep ownership of what you put into Nyota — occasion names, photos, details. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you invited, which is what makes the app work.

What is not allowed

  • Sending invitations to people who have asked you not to
  • Impersonating another person or organisation
  • Uploading anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to share
  • Interfering with the service, or trying to reach data that is not yours

Payment

Receiving and sending invitations is free. Professional hosts — wedding planners, event companies and corporate teams — pay a subscription. Prices, billing terms and refunds for that tier are set out at the point of purchase.

Availability

We work to keep Nyota running, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or withdraw features. If a change materially reduces what you get on a paid plan, we will tell you.

Our responsibility

Nyota helps you keep track of invitations. It is not a guarantee that you will attend anything. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for events you miss, occasions that change, or losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time — see Support. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [City] have exclusive jurisdiction.
